MySpace blog: double blog time.

I'm at work, and I'm setting up my new ipod right now. That's all. Oh, if you're wondering, I got a 60GB black video ipod (seriously i'm not bragging, I'm just being informative). I hate saying stuff like that, because I always think it sounds like I'm saying, "hey, look at me! I got something cool!" Of course now that I'm talking about it all, it probably sounds like I'm in denial, but I really am bragging. I'll stop talking now.

MySpace blog: Sunday Summation

Look at this--consecutive blog days! In defense of my poor spelling and missing words in the last blog, that stuff only happened because I was not used to using a Mac, and I didn't proofread ;).

I figured I should probably let everyone know how the service in Lincoln went. Oh, if you want to check out their website, it's www.thefoundry-lincoln.org.

There were not a lot of people there, but those who have been at these preview services (they aren't meeting every week yet) seem to be connecting pretty well. The point of the preview services is to get some trial runs in and try to iron out the kinks in running a service before things really get going. So, things went pretty smoothly in that regard.

After the service, we headed back to Redding (actually we ate in Lincoln first at Old Town Pizza).

Levi and I drove straight to the church, and when I got there, Nate asked me to play acoustic guitar, because he was going to lead from the keys. But, I was too tired to keep up with the strumming, so I was dragging everything. I ended up playing keys. It was the first time I'd played keys for a worship team (besides when I was leading) in 7-1/2 years!

Needless to say, I was absolutely drained after the worship set. I thought I was going to fall asleep, so I stood for the entire time Nate was speaking. Afterwards, I was ready to crash, but I still ended up going to Emily's house until 1:30 AM. Juan was finishing a Jesus painting that he started at the Stirring. It's huge and really good. Once I left, I had to go home and do my homework. Crazy.

Now I'm really tired, but really relaxed, so things are pretty much good.

I think I've given up on blogger. I'm just too lazy to deal with the whole complex means of posting that I devised in December.

What I meant to say in the last blog is that I haven't been blogging much recently because I don't have internet access at home. I'm in the Simpson coffee shop right now, about to head to work, hence the blog. alright, off to work I go.

MySpace blog: spring is here??

I guess Spring is here because I'm helping out with some planting right now. yep, right now, at 12:19 AM. I'm sitting in Lincoln, CA typing on a Mac. This is the first blog I've ever written on a Mac. If you're wondering how I could be helping plant right now, i shall explain. Josiah, Levi, and Jeanine are sitting in the living room and I'm at the dinning table. Emily's in the shower. We're at Darrell and Sandie Haskins' house. Wow Emily just turned on the shower and it's really loud. Anyway, we're down here along with Patrick and Bethany to help out with the Foundry, which is the church plant here in Lincoln that Darrell is the lead pastor of. Today is the last preview service, so a few of us Stirring kids came down to help them out. I'm playing guitar for the worship team. It's been a really fun trip so far. Darrell has this incredible box that is a percussion instrument. It sounds like a drum machine, but it's just a box with some loose wood on it and some guitar strings inside. I want one. But I already ordered a 60 GB video ipod and all the new Invisible Children bracelets/DVDs this week, so I probably shouldn't spend any more money. This was the week of the credit card. I don't have much to say. I have a new side job for this semester. Last semester, I graded papers for a class I was in. This semester, I'm going to be helping design a myspace job for someone in enrollment services. we're going to use it as a way for Simpson students to talk to kids who have already expressed an interest in the school. So, I get to design the position, and if I want it, I can have it. Anyway, that's what's going on. I haven't really been blogging of my not having internet late at night. But I do tonight, so anyway. Oh, Eric and I made a video today that we'll probably show at the Stirring at some point.

Simple Recipe

I suppose I shall blog.

I'm sitting in YAKS, so that means I have internet access.

So, about a month ago, I stumbled across a really easy way to make Chicken Parmesan. I was housesitting for my friends Steve and Renee, and they left some food for me in the fridge. But the first night, I went and got some food at Safeway. I ended up buying some fried chicken. The leftovers went in the fridge.

A couple days later, I thought it would be interesting to take the spaghetti that they left for me and eat it with the fried chicken, and it would be like cheap parmesan chicken. I found what I thought was spaghetti sauce, too.

Well, actually, I was pretty sure it was sloppy joe meat, because I had gone over to their house a couple days earlier and we had sloppy joes, but I smelled it, and it definitely smelled like spaghetti meat sauce.

So, I put it all together and nuked it.

First bite...
